New Nissan Leaf Keys Made In Buffalo NY - Red Key LLC
We got a call the other day from a customer over on Main St in Buffalo who lost their keys to a 2023 Nissan Leaf. No spare, no backup – just stuck in a parking lot with no way to start the car.
We headed out from our shop in Tonawanda. If you know Buffalo, Main St is always busy, right near the Theater District and not too far from Canalside. Finding parking for the work van was a bit of a challenge but we made it work.
The Nissan Leaf uses a smart key system, which means the key fob communicates with the car electronically. You cant just cut a regular key and that’s it. We had to program a brand new proximity key to match the car’s computer. Our technician hooked up the diagnostic tool, pulled the needed info from the car, cut the emergency key, and programmed everything on site. The whole job took about 45 minutes and the customer was back on the road.
